Well we all have kinda heard of
"algorithms" (something to do with maths or is it computers?) and we
all kinda think that they are being used by clever people to sort stuff out in
the world "for us"... Think again. This interesting talk on TED about
algoriths and what can happen when the maths gets out of control is well worth
15 minutes of anyone's life..... :
